Spring Soccer Season

This year the North Atlanta soccer team has started off to rough start. Although both boys and girls are determined to win, our 3A schools can be difficult.
The boy’s team lost their first preseason game, 3-1 against Tucker High school. However, they showed mental stamina, moving them to their win against Pace Academy. It was a close game ending in a score of 3-2.
The warriors tied their next two games against East Paulding and Alexander both resulting in scores of 2-2.
Boy’s varsity coach, Coach Bland says, “I am incredibly proud of these boys, as we are continuing to improve in every way imaginable as a team, on and off the field.”
As far as the girl’s soccer team, they won their pre-season game against Tucker High School but they have lost the rest. They played three games against Roswell, East Paulding and Alexander and have lost all three.
The lady warriors are working hard on and off the field to improve their teamwork and their collaboration on the field. Varsity player Elena Dieci says, “Our team is still trying to adjust to the new players this year and hopefully we can work out the kinks.”
The girls are surprised to be playing larger schools (class AAAAA) when we are still a region 5 AAA school.
Senior David Weinzerl says, “Last year we made it to the first round of state play offs, so our goal this year is to get to the second round, at least.”
Both Varsity boys and girls are working hard to make sure their season goes well and are determined to can correct their errors in previous games.
Come out and support boys and girls soccer in hopes to complete a great season!
